Wersching was born in St. Louis, Missouri and raised there. She graduated from Crossroads College Preparatory School, St. Louis' Central West End in 1995. Alexandra Rose Raisman, born May 25 1994, is an American retired gymnast who was an artistic. She was also twice an Olympian. She was the American women's Olympic gymnastics team captain for both the 2012 and 2016 "Fierce Five" U.S. teams. She was awarded a gold team medal during the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Gabby Douglas and Raisman are the only Americans to have back-to-back gold medals from this event. Raisman took home silver medals for the individual all-around and floor exercise.
