Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. The father of her Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley and the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix showed an early aptitude for sports when she was in high school at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Her sprinting talent at that at the time. Within 10 weeks of her first attempt, she finished in second place in the 200 meter event at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed high school and subsequently signed an official contract for Adidas. In 2004, she enrolled in the University of Southern California, which is where she studied elementary education. One year later Felix won her very first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting an all-time junior world record running 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. The youngest to win the 200 meter at the World Championships held in Helsinki in 2005. She was able to defend her record once again in 2007, defeating long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently within the top three across her diverse races during the Olympics that took place during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
