Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American boy group
that is specialized in pop music. It was formed in 2009. The group is comprised
of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow and Logan Henderson. They first signed with
Nick Records in 2009 before changing to Columbia Records. They appeared on
Nickelodeon's television series, Big Time Rush. From November 28th, 2009 to
July 25, 2013, the show aired. The pilot episode showcased the group's first
single promo, "Big Time Rush". The group released three studio
albums, BTR in 2010 and Elevate in 2011 as well as 24/7 in 2013. In 2014, the
group was on a hiatus which lasted until 2021. They returned to live
performances in the studio and came out with "Call It Like It Sees
It". Nickelodeon signed Big Time Rush a record contract in 2009 and was
simultaneously airing the TV show Big Time Rush. In the following year,
Nickelodeon partnered with Columbia/Epic Label Group to create the show and
include the original music that was used in the show. For the show, their first
single, "Big Time Rush" came out on November 29 in 2009. Officially
announced by Nickelodeon in November 2009, the show was first broadcast for the
time in the American market. It then debuted internationally. It debuted during
a one-hour special preview of the show and is currently the show's main theme.
The show also saw releases of promotional singles including "City is
Ours" and "Any Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush also covered a Play
song titled "Famous". The song came out on iTunes on June 29 the 29th
of June, 2010. Following the premiere of the series, another song,
"Halfway There", was released on iTunes on April 27 in 2010. The band
soon became their first charting song on the Billboard Hot 100. It reached
number 93 thanks to digital sales. To celebrate their debut album, Big Time
Rush released "Till I Forget about You" on September 21, 2010. On the
11th of October, 2010 the album, which was titled BTR it was released to the
general public. It debuted at number three on the Billboard 200. It sold the
album at 67,000 copies in its first week.
