Anna Kendrick
Anna Kendrick was born to Janice
(Cooke), an accountant, and William Kendrick (a teacher). Her older brother is,
Michael Cooke Kendrick, who has also performed. Anna Kendrick is Scottish,
Irish and born in England. She was nominated for the Tony Award (second
youngest ever) and the Drama Desk Award and the Fany Award (best actress in a
musical). She received the Drama League Award and Theatre World Award for her
performance. Along with Scott Ellis and Susan Stroman, she had the opportunity
to perform with Jeremy Irons at the New York City Opera House. She was the
character Fredrika in the film "A Little Night Music" and also worked
with Todd Graff on the feature film Camp (2003). Following 1991's Tony winner
Daisy Eagan, she was the second-youngest nominee. George Clooney ridiculed her
at the NYC Opera House along with Jeremy Irons and choreographer Susan Stroman.
The actress also appeared in "Jane Eyre" and "The Little
Princess" for Broadway. In 1998, Jason Reitman cast her in Up in the Air.
After watching her performance on Rocket Science (2007). The only actress from
the Twilight Saga to be nominated for an Oscar. In 2010, she received an Oscar
nomination between the second and third seasons of the series. [September 2013]
She has the unique distinction of appearing on three major screen musicals –
Into the Woods (2014).
